We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of buildings. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely at heights. Prior experience in roofing and construction is highly desirable, along with a strong understanding of safety procedures and technical skills. Duties

Install new roofing systems using a variety of materials including tiles, shingles, metal sheets, and membranes Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components to ensure structural integrity and weatherproofing Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to execute projects accurately Operate power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently Measure roof dimensions accurately to determine material requirements and layout specifications Assist with the installation of flashing, gutters, ventilation systems, and other roofing accessories Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality expectations Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters, masons, plumbers, and electricians as needed Maintain a clean and organised worksite, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations at all times

Skills

Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings related to roofing projects Experience with welding, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and construction techniques is advantageous Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, chisels, screwdrivers, and measuring devices Competent in operating power tools including drills, saws, nail guns, and specialised roofing equipment Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and technique Knowledge of safety protocols for working at heights and on construction sites Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for precise measurements and installations Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients
