We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roofer & Solar Installer on a Self Employed basis to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of solar panels and related equipment on residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of promoting renewable energy solutions and enhancing energy efficiency for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Duties
Install solar panels on rooftops and very occasionally, ground-mounted systems according to specifications and safety standards.
Refurbishment & Insulation of Flat Roofs on Domestic & Commercial buildings
Use power tools and hand tools to secure solar panels, brackets, and wiring.
Perform routine maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with team members to complete installations efficiently and safely.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working at heights or with electrical components.
Qualifications
Previous experience in solar installation or a related field is essential.
Previous experience in the refurbishment and insulation of Flat Roofs on Domestic & Commercial Building essential.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools and hand tools effectively.
Basic understanding of electrical systems is advantageous
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
A valid driver's licence may be required for travel between job sites.
