Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and repairing roofs, ensuring they are structurally sound and weatherproof. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing materials and techniques, as well as the ability to work at heights safely. The Roofer will be responsible for fabricating and installing roofing systems while adhering to safety regulations and quality standards.

Duties

Build and install various types of roofs, including flat, pitched, and tiled roofs. Fabricate roofing materials as needed for specific projects. Perform inspections to identify potential issues with existing roofs and recommend repairs. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete roofing tasks. Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate installation of roofing systems. Conduct heavy lifting as required for materials and equipment during installation. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including plumbers and masons, to ensure comprehensive project completion. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience in roofing or a related field is preferred. Ability to work at heights safely and confidently. Strong skills in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks. Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in roofing. Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to read schematics and follow technical instructions accurately.
