Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on various types of buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing materials and techniques, as well as the ability to work at heights safely and effectively. The Roofer will collaborate with other tradespeople and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.

Duties

Build and fabricate roofing structures using various materials such as shingles, metal, and tiles. Install roofing systems according to specifications and schematics. Perform repairs on existing roofs, including patching leaks and replacing damaged sections. Utilise power tools and hand tools safely to complete roofing tasks efficiently. Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or areas needing maintenance. Engage in heavy lifting when handling roofing materials and equipment. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working at heights. Collaborate with other construction professionals, including masons and welders, as needed for integrated projects.

Skills

Proficient in building and fabricating roofing systems. Strong knowledge of power tools and hand tools relevant to roofing tasks. Ability to read and interpret schematics for roofing installations. Experience in masonry work is advantageous. Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties. Understanding of plumbing principles related to roof drainage systems is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work. Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
