Overview

Sub-contractors needed. We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team when needed. This will suit someone not looking for full time work, needed 1-3 days a week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential properties. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, as well as an understanding of schematics and building codes.

Responsibilities

Install roofing systems, including, pitched, flat, lead work,chimney work, ensuring high-quality workmanship. Repair and replace damaged roofing materials to maintain structural integrity. Interpret schematics and blueprints to determine project specifications. Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during roofing projects. Perform heavy lifting as required for moving materials and equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards. Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or maintenance needs. Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the duration of each project.

Requirements

Proven experience in roofing is essential. Familiarity with welding, fabrication, carpentry, plumbing, and masonry is advantageous. Strong knowledge of safety practices in construction environments. Ability to work at heights and perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail when executing tasks.
