Responsibilities

Install roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, tiles, and metal. Repair and maintain existing roofs by identifying issues such as leaks or damage. Use hand tools and power tools proficiently for cutting, shaping, and securing roofing materials. Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate installation according to specifications. Collaborate with team members on larger projects, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines. Perform fabrication tasks as needed for custom roofing solutions. Conduct regular inspections of roofs to assess condition and recommend necessary repairs. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing or construction is essential. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and the ability to lift substantial weights safely. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction machinery. Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and fabrication is advantageous. Ability to read schematics and follow detailed instructions accurately. Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A commitment to safety practices in all aspects of work.
