Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work with various materials and techniques. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs, ensuring that they are watertight and structurally sound. The successful applicant will be comfortable working at heights and possess a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using various materials such as shingles, metal, and flat roofing. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine project specifications. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for roofing tasks. Perform welding tasks as needed for metal roofing installations. Conduct fabrication of roofing components to meet specific project requirements. Carry out carpentry work related to roof structures, including framing and sheathing. Assist with plumbing and masonry tasks as required during roofing projects. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working at heights and on construction sites. Perform heavy lifting as necessary to move materials and equipment.

Requirements

Proven experience in roofing or a related construction field is essential. Familiarity with schematics, welding techniques, hand tools, power tools, fabrication methods, carpentry skills, plumbing knowledge, and masonry work is highly desirable. Ability to work at heights safely and confidently. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or climbing. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
