We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the capability to interpret schematics and plans. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial properties.

Responsibilities

Install roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and tiles. Repair damaged roofs by replacing or repairing shingles, flashing, or other components. Interpret schematics and blueprints to determine job specifications. Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for roofing tasks. Perform heavy lifting as required during the installation and repair processes. Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters and plumbers to ensure project completion. Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or necessary maintenance. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields is essential. Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment. Strong skills in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and general construction practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 kg) as required by the job demands. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed. A valid driver's licence is preferred but not mandatory.
