Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing and construction, with a strong understanding of building structures and materials. This role requires physical strength and stamina, as well as the ability to work at heights. The Roofer will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on various types of buildings, ensuring they are watertight and structurally sound.

Duties

Install roofing systems including shingles, tiles, and flat roofs. Repair and replace damaged roofing materials. Perform inspections to identify potential issues with roofs. Work with various materials such as masonry and metal. Use power tools and equipment safely and effectively. Interpret schematics and blueprints to determine roofing specifications. Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople on construction projects. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working at heights. Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements

Proven experience in roofing or a related construction field. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job. Proficiency in using power tools and equipment relevant to roofing tasks. Understanding of building codes and safety regulations. Familiarity with masonry techniques is advantageous. Ability to read and interpret schematics for roofing projects. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Willingness to work in various weather conditions. A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation to job sites.
