Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret schematics. The Roofer will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial properties.

Responsibilities

Install roofing systems using a variety of materials including flat and pitched. Repair and replace damaged roofs as necessary to ensure structural integrity. Interpret schematics and blueprints to determine project specifications. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively. Perform heavy lifting as required during installations and repairs. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to high standards. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols. Assist in fabrication tasks related to roofing components as needed. Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues before they become significant problems.

Requirements

Proven experience in roofing or a related construction field is essential. Familiarity with carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and fabrication techniques is advantageous. Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
