Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team, responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of roofing materials and techniques, as well as the ability to work at heights. This role requires physical stamina and the capability to perform heavy lifting while ensuring safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

Install roofing systems, including shingles, tiles, and flat roofing materials. Repair leaks and damages in existing roofs using appropriate materials and techniques. Interpret schematics and blueprints to determine project specifications. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for roofing tasks. Fabricate roofing components as needed for specific projects. Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure structural integrity during installations. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and regulations. Perform regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues before they escalate.

Experience

Proven experience in roofing or a related field is preferred. joinery experience will be huge positive for the applicant Familiarity with masonry work is advantageous. Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively. Experience in heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks is essential. techniques can be beneficial for specific roofing projects. A background in carpentry will be considered an asset, enhancing your ability to build and repair structures associated with roofing.

Pay: 17.46-19.13 per hour
