We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in roofing and construction, demonstrating proficiency in various techniques and tools essential for high-quality roof installation and repair. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Duties
Install, repair, and maintain roofs using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and flat roofing systems.
Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate installation according to specifications.
Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in all roofing tasks.
Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed for custom roofing solutions.
Conduct carpentry work related to roof structure and support.
Assist with heavy lifting of materials and equipment during installations.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety standards.
Carry out plumbing and masonry tasks as required during roofing projects.
Experience
Proven experience in roofing or a related construction field is essential.
Familiarity with schematics, welding techniques, hand tools, power tools, fabrication processes, carpentry skills, heavy lifting protocols, plumbing basics, and masonry work is highly desirable.
A strong understanding of safety regulations within the construction industry is crucial.
