We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and have a solid understanding of schematics related to roofing projects.

Duties

Install roofing systems using various materials such as shingles, metal, and tiles Repair and maintain existing roofs to ensure durability and safety Interpret schematics and blueprints to execute roofing projects accurately Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation processes Conduct inspections to identify potential issues with roofs or structures Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects Adhere to safety regulations and best practices while working on-site

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous Strong skills in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and fabrication are preferred Ability to work at heights and perform physically demanding tasks Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail A valid driver's licence may be required for transportation to job sites
