Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our Electrical team to help install solar panels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction including installing solar panels, with the ability to work effectively in various weather conditions. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining Solar Panels on residential buildings. This role requires attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

Lifting existing roof tiles and slates. Installing roofing hooks and rails. for preparation of panel installation. Install the solar panels onto the rail system. (Average 8 panels per property) Replace/repair any broken tiles during the installation phase. Gather evidence in the form of photographs for each job. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and fastening the panel system. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to high standards.

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to roofing tasks. Ability to install work to an excellent standard. Experience with different roof types and tiles is advantageous for certain roofing applications. Familiarity with solar panels is preferred but not essential. Good understanding of building codes and safety regulations relevant to roofing work. Capability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks consistently. Excellent problem-solving skills when addressing unexpected challenges on-site.
