We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs on various types of buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing materials and techniques, as well as the ability to work at heights. The Roofer will utilise both hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and replace roofing systems using various materials such as shingles, metal, and flat roofing systems.
Perform inspections to identify issues with roofs and recommend appropriate solutions.
Work from schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installation according to specifications.
Fabricate roofing components as needed, ensuring they meet quality standards.
Use power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing roofing materials.
Conduct heavy lifting as required during the installation process.
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless project execution.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
Qualifications
Proven experience in roofing or a related field is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints effectively.
Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools specific to roofing tasks.
Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights.
Knowledge of welding techniques is a plus but not mandatory.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A valid driver's licence may be required for travel between job sites.
