Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role involves working on residential and commercial roofing projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain roofs using a variety of materials including metal, and flat roofing systems. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently for roofing tasks. Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining quality standards. Conduct inspections of roofs to identify issues such as leaks or damage, providing solutions for repairs. Engage in fabrication tasks as needed, including cutting and shaping materials for roofing applications.

Material Knowledge:

Familiarity with different roofing materials (tiles, slate, shingles, lead, ect) Applying flat roof membranes, insulation, vapor barriers,and flashings around penetrations like pipes, chimneys, and walls. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing or a related construction field is essential. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and other equipment relevant to roofing tasks. Must be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. The ideal candidate will be provided with a company vehicle and therefore must hold a clean UK drivers licence.

Candidates must also have at least 2 years worth of roofing experience.
