We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role requires physical stamina and the capability to perform heavy lifting, as well as a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain roofs using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and flat roofing systems.
Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine project specifications.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for roofing tasks.
Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed for roof installations.
Conduct carpentry work related to roofing structures, ensuring proper alignment and stability.
Assist in plumbing and masonry tasks when required during roofing projects.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed on-site to maintain a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
Experience
Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields is essential.
Familiarity with schematics, welding techniques, and the use of hand and power tools is highly desirable.
Experience in carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and fabrication will be considered an advantage.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely is required.
