Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, demonstrating proficiency in various techniques and tools. This position involves working on diverse roofing projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain roofs using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and tiles. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for roofing tasks. Conduct construction estimating to assess project costs and materials needed. Perform heavy lifting as required during the installation process. Collaborate with team members on construction site activities, ensuring efficient workflow. Carry out restoration work on existing roofs to extend their lifespan. Apply caulking and other sealants to ensure waterproofing of roofs. Engage in carpentry tasks such as frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing as necessary. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields is essential. Familiarity with construction site practices and safety regulations. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Experience with various construction techniques including masonry, concrete forming, remodeling, and tile laying is preferred. Strong skills in fabrication, plumbing, welding, and maintenance person tasks are advantageous. Must be physically fit to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or climbing.
