We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various tools and materials. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial properties.

Responsibilities

Install roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and flat roofing systems. Repair and replace damaged roofing materials to ensure the integrity of the roof structure. Interpret schematics and blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during roofing projects. Perform heavy lifting as required when handling materials and equipment. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or necessary maintenance. Assist in fabrication tasks as needed for custom roofing solutions. Engage in carpentry work related to roof framing and structural support. Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the duration of each project.

Requirements

Proven experience in roofing or a related construction field is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery safely. Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous but not mandatory. Knowledge of plumbing and masonry principles is beneficial for comprehensive project execution. Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 kg) consistently throughout the day. Strong understanding of safety protocols within the construction industry. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Ability to work at heights safely and confidently, following all relevant safety guidelines.
