We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship while ensuring safety standards are met.
Duties
Install, repair, and maintain roofs using a variety of materials such as shingles, metal, and tiles.
Read and interpret schematics to determine the layout and installation requirements.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for roofing tasks.
Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed for roof installations.
Conduct carpentry work related to roofing structures, including framing and sheathing.
Assist with plumbing and masonry tasks as they relate to roof drainage systems.
Lift heavy materials and equipment safely while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
Qualifications
Proven experience in roofing or similar construction roles is essential.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools used in roofing applications.
Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
Experience in carpentry, plumbing, or masonry is advantageous but not mandatory.
Physical stamina and strength to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the day.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
