Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our roof cleaning team, responsible for safely cleaning, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of roofing materials and techniques, as well as the ability to work effectively in various weather conditions. This role requires physical stamina and the capability to perform heavy lifting while ensuring safety standards are met.

Duties

Install, repair, and replace roofing systems using various materials such as shingles, metal, and flat roofing systems. Fabricate roofing components as needed to ensure proper fit and functionality. Build structures such as scaffolding to facilitate safe working conditions at height. be able to safely operate cherry pickers and spider lifts Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues with roofs and recommend necessary repairs. Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, including carpenters and masons, to complete projects efficiently. Follow schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installation of roofing systems. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks. Experience in carpentry or masonry is advantageous for understanding structural integrity. Ability to weld or plumb as required for specific roofing applications. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret schematics effectively. Physical fitness for heavy lifting and working at heights safely. Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship on all projects. Must have a full uk drivers licence and be 25 and older
