We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the capability to follow schematics and plans accurately. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial properties.

Responsibilities

Install roofing systems using various materials such as shingles, metal, or tiles. Repair and replace damaged roofs and ensure proper sealing to prevent leaks. Interpret schematics and blueprints to determine project specifications. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively. Perform heavy lifting as required during installation and repairs. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to high standards. Conduct regular inspections of roofs to assess their condition and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields is essential. Strong skills in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and fabrication are highly desirable. Familiarity with various roofing materials and techniques is preferred. Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights is required. A valid driver's licence may be beneficial for travel between job sites.
