Job Summary

We are seeking skilled and dedicated Roofers and roofing labours to join our construction teams. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on commercial buildings on the Sellafield Nuclear Power Station Site. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing systems, safety procedures, and the ability to work at heights. The ideal applicants will have experience with various roofing materials and possess the physical strength and stamina necessary for this type of outdoors work all applicants must hold the relevant CSCS card.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills within the construction industry. You would be working under the CIJC Regulations for payments etc

Duties

Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and roofing specifications and installation procedures Install new roofs using appropriate materials such as aluminium metal sheets, composite panels or membranes Repair or replace damaged roofing components, ensuring waterproofing and durability Operate power tools, hand tools, safely and efficiently Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality expectations Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all phases of work

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing or related construction trades Knowledge of schematics and technical drawings Proficiency with hand tools, power tools techniques Familiarity with various roofing materials and installation methods Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Physical fitness suitable for working at heights in outdoor environments Relevant CSCS certifications or training in roofing safety standards is desirable

Pay: 160.00-190.00 per day
