Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Roofer/Labourer to join our team.

We work on high spec large re roof projects across Dartmoor, Teignbridge and the South Hams.

We specialise in slate, cedar shingle, lead work and heritage projects. So a good understanding of some of these principles is important.

We require a candidate that takes extreme pride in there work and have an eye for detail The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ability to perform various roofing tasks.

Our projects are usually in remote locations so please do not apply if you don't have your own transport or get yourself to site and home each day. lifts or pickups will not be offered

We are a small company built on reputation so only polite punctual candidates need to apply.

This role involves working with a variety of materials and tools, ensuring that all roofing projects are completed to the highest standards. The successful applicant will be comfortable with heavy lifting and have experience in using both hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs on mainly residential and heritage properties. Understand the basics of roofing trade. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete roofing tasks. Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate installation of roofing systems. Perform heavy lifting as necessary during the roofing process. Collaborate with team members to build and install roofing structures safely and efficiently. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.

Experience

Previous experience in roofing or construction is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with Slate, Cedar, lead and heritage roofing. A strong understanding of safety practices within the construction industry is essential. Must be physically fit and able to perform manual labour for extended periods. Must have own transport.
