Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roofer/Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and be comfortable working at heights. This role involves various roofing tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of roofs. The successful applicant will also be expected to assist with general labour duties on-site, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using various materials such as tiles, felt and other roofing systems Repairs of roof and leak detection - being able to identify leaks, carry out any repairs and list any further works required Fabricate roofing components as needed to ensure proper fit and function. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete roofing tasks. Perform heavy lifting as required when handling materials and equipment. Assist in the construction of scaffolding and other structures necessary for roofing work. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards. Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or areas needing repair. Maintain a clean and organised work environment by disposing of waste materials properly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in roofing or a related field is preferred but not essential. Ability to plumb and weld is advantageous. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in roofing and construction. Basic carpentry skills are beneficial for building structures associated with roofing tasks. Physical stamina and strength to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions. Knowledge of masonry techniques is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions from supervisors effectively. Driving License - preferable but not essential PASMA CSCS
