We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of roofing systems and techniques, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role involves working at heights and requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. The Roofer will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various roofing materials.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain roofs using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and flat roofing systems. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine project specifications. Fabricate roofing components as needed to ensure proper fit and function. Use power tools and hand tools effectively to complete roofing tasks. Conduct inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or necessary repairs. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and masons, to ensure project completion. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment. Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations related to roofing work. Ability to plumb structures accurately for proper drainage and alignment. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site. Physical fitness is essential; candidates must be able to lift heavy materials and work at heights without fear. A valid driver's licence is advantageous for travelling between job sites.
