Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various tools and materials. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial properties, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Install roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and flat roofing systems. Repair and replace damaged roofs, ensuring proper sealing and waterproofing. Read and interpret schematics to understand project specifications and requirements. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively. Perform heavy lifting as required during the installation and repair processes. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. Conduct routine inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or maintenance needs. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Experience

Proven experience in roofing or a related construction field is essential. Familiarity with carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and fabrication techniques is advantageous. Ability to operate various power tools and hand tools safely is required. Experience with heavy lifting tasks is necessary for this role. A strong understanding of roofing materials and installation methods is preferred.
