We are seeking a skilled Roofers/improvers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing and a solid understanding of various roofing systems. This role involves working on both residential and commercial properties, ensuring that roofs are installed, repaired, and maintained to the highest standards. The successful applicant will be comfortable working at heights and possess a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain various types of roofs, including flat and pitched roofs. Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate installation of roofing systems. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for roofing tasks. Perform masonry work as needed during roof installations or repairs. Fabricate roofing materials on-site as required for specific projects. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards. Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or areas needing maintenance. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure comprehensive project completion. Lift heavy materials safely and efficiently during installations or repairs.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Roofer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of roofing systems and materials. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment related to roofing tasks. Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately. Experience with welding techniques is advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with masonry work is preferred. Physical stamina and strength for heavy lifting and working at heights. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. A valid driver's licence may be required for transportation to job sites.
