We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shift Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and leading a team of childcare professionals. The Shift Leader will play a crucial role in fostering positive relationships with both staff and families while maintaining high standards of care.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of childcare staff during assigned shifts, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Create and maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children in our care. Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Monitor the well-being of children, addressing any concerns or issues promptly. Maintain accurate records related to attendance, incidents, and daily activities. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any relevant updates. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as organisational policies. Assist in training new staff members, providing guidance on best practices in childcare.

Experience

Proven experience in a management or leadership role within a childcare setting is essential. Background in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable. Experience working with children in various capacities, such as nursery or daycare settings. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff alike. Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are an advantage.
