An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Nursery Room Leader to join an independent day nursery in Putney. This is a full-time position for a dedicated childcare professional with strong leadership abilities, a deep understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and a passion for delivering high-quality early years education. The role involves overseeing a team, planning and implementing activities, supporting children's development, and contributing to the smooth daily running of the nursery.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of staff to ensure effective daily operations
Support children's development through engaging, child-centred learning and play
Plan and deliver activities aligned with EYFS goals and individual next steps
Monitor, assess, and record children's progress
Act as Key Person for a designated group of children
Ensure safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed
Conduct staff inductions and supervision meetings
Organise and attend parent meetings and nursery events
Open and close the nursery as per rota requirements
Participate in operational and staff meetings to support continuous improvement
Requirements
A full and relevant UK Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification
In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices
Experience in planning, observing, and recording children's development
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
A collaborative, team-focused attitude with a commitment to high-quality care
Punctuality, reliability, and strong work ethics
