In this role, you'll help deliver high quality care and education to our children, fostering a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment.
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone who loves working with children - someone who is kind, creative, and committed to helping each child become the best version of themselves. You'll lead your team to plan and deliver fun, educational activities that support every aspect of a child's development.
Key Responsibilities
(include but are not limited to)
Lead the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development
Supervise and support staff within your room, offering guidance, feedback, and mentorship
Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and work colleagues
Ensure a clean, safe, and stimulating environment at all times
Observe, assess, and record children's progress accurately
Uphold and promote safeguarding policies and child protection procedures
Support children with daily routines such as meals, toileting.
Attend essential training courses (e.g., First Aid, Food Hygiene, Safeguarding) - all paid for and organised through management
Follow nursery policies and stay informed on relevant childcare legislation
Requirements
Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (or equivalent, e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education)
Training in safeguarding and child protection
Fluency in written and spoken English
A warm, caring, and professional approach to childcare
Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude
Ability to stay calm under pressure and multitask effectively
Experience in activity planning and record-keeping
Understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities
Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Minimum 1 year's experience working in a Room Leader Role
