Job Description

Responsible for the day-to-day running of our room(s) within the nursery, ensuring that it is operating to the highest professional level.

To offer planned activities, a wide range of learning opportunities and daily routines that promote all areas of the children's development in a safe, stimulating, happy and caring environment, in accordance with the Nurseries policies, and the statutory requirements.

Duties include: -

To help create an all-inclusive environment that values diversity and promotes open and equal opportunities for all children and adults. To supervise the daily running of the room(s), working co-operatively with, and supporting all staff, volunteers, and students, as appropriate. To actively encourage children's progress in all areas of development, types and stages of play, by interaction and extension of play activities. To plan and organise a programme of activities and learning opportunities, ensuring that all the areas of Learning and Development are included at appropriate developmental levels. To ensure all staff are aware of their particular role and to support staff in providing a wide range of activities for the children as required To be responsible for, and to oversee staff, completing paperwork for individual children, as required. To ensure staff record and inform parents of an incident or accident which has occurred. To ensure administrative tasks are carried out, e.g. attendance register, daily and weekly health and safety checks, medication forms, identification of resource needs etc. To help to organise the key person groups and undertake a key person role with specific children. To ensure that high standards of health and safety and hygiene are maintained at all times. To be involved in curriculum planning, policy writing and record keeping as required

Pay: 27,768.00-29,459.07 per year
