An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Room Leader (Preschool) to join a high-quality nursery setting based in Guildford, Surrey GU1.

Salary

29,000 - 32,000 per annum, dependent on experience + benefits.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern

Full-time role 40 hours per week Monday to Friday No weekend working Consistent daytime hours Scheduled breaks included

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the preschool room on a day-to-day basis Support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS Plan, deliver, and evaluate age-appropriate activities Supervise, mentor, and support room staff within the nursery Ensure safeguarding, health, and safety standards are upheld Maintain accurate observations, assessments, and records Build strong relationships with parents and carers Promote inclusive practice and positive behaviour management Work collaboratively with the wider team and leadership

Requirements

Up to date and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or above Previous experience working as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework Confident leadership and communication skills Passionate about early childhood development Ability to work collaboratively within a team Organised, reliable, and proactive approach Suitable for a Preschool Room Leader, Early Years Room Leader, or Senior Early Years Educator, Nursery Room Leader
