Job Type:

Permanent, Full-time (Monday to Friday)

Working Hours:

40 hours per week

Salary:

31,420 per annum

Overall Job Role



Deliver and ensure a high standard of learning, development, and care for babies and infants. Manage the day-to-day running of the room. Ensure the environment is safe for children, staff, and visitors. Develop positive partnerships with parents and guardians to support children's development. Lead and support your team.

Key Duties



Oversee the effective daily running of the room. Maintain a strong understanding of company policies, procedures, and expectations. Act as a positive role model, demonstrating high-quality practice in all areas. Ensure excellent hygiene, health and safety, and safeguarding standards are maintained. Work collaboratively with management and other room leaders. Support and lead your team in planning and delivering activities aligned with the EYFS framework. Supervise observation, assessment, and planning processes to ensure all children make progress. Liaise with external professionals when required. Build trusting relationships with families and promote open communication.

Qualifications (Essential)



Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent. Sound knowledge of the Early Years sector. Good standard of English and Maths.

Relevant Experience and Skills (Essential)



At least 2 years' experience working in a nursery or similar early years setting. Experience as a key person. Strong understanding of the EYFS and current Ofsted framework.

Behaviours and Attitudes



Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain accurate records and reports. Basic administrative and IT skills. Effective leadership and teamwork abilities. Calm, caring, and empathetic approach. Reliable, enthusiastic, and flexible. Able to work under pressure and on own initiative.

Desirable Skills



Paediatric First Aid certificate. Safeguarding training. Food Hygiene Level 2. SENCO experience.
