Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Room Leader to oversee daily operations and ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education. This role involves supervising staff, engaging with children, and maintaining high standards of care and education.

Duties

Lead and manage a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure effective operation during shifts. Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for children, staff, and parents. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education principles. Maintain communication with parents regarding their children's progress and well-being. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards within the nursery environment. Conduct regular assessments of children's development and provide feedback to parents. Manage daily administrative tasks, including staff scheduling, record keeping, and reporting. Act as a role model for staff by demonstrating excellent communication skills and professionalism.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a management or leadership role within a childcare setting is essential. Background in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable. Experience working with children in a nursery or educational environment is required. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations if necessary. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
