The Role
We are looking for a motivated Third-in-Charge / Unit Leader to join our leadership team. You will work closely with the Manager and Deputy, taking responsibility for leading a unit and stepping up in their absence.
You will:
- Lead and inspire your unit team, supporting their training and development.
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that meet EYFS standards.
- Act as a key contact for parents, supporting children's settling-in and progress.
- Provide reports to the Manager/Deputy about your unit's performance, children's development, and staff training needs.
- Step into management responsibilities such as show-arounds, staffing, and daily operations when required.
- Ensure a safe, stimulating environment with high-quality resources.
What We're Looking For
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum).
- Previous experience as a Practitioner or Room Leader with leadership responsibilities.
- Knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted.
- Strong organisational, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Paediatric First Aid and safeguarding training (or willingness to update).
Hours & Pay
- Full-time or part-time available
- Salary: from 12.65 an hour (depending on qualification and experience)
