The Role

We are seeking a motivated Unit Leader to join our leadership team. Working closely with the Nursery Manager and Deputy, you will take responsibility for leading a unit and step up to support wider management in their absence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and inspire your unit team, supporting their training, development, and wellbeing. Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with EYFS standards. Act as a key point of contact for parents, supporting children's settling-in and monitoring their progress. Provide updates and reports to the Manager/Deputy on unit performance, staff development, and children's learning. Take on management responsibilities as needed, including show-arounds, staffing, and daily operations. Maintain a safe, stimulating environment with high-quality resources.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification. Previous experience as a Practitioner or Room Leader with proven leadership responsibilities. Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements. Excellent organisational, communication, and mentoring skills. Paediatric First Aid and safeguarding training (or willingness to update).

Hours & Pay

Full-time or part-time options available Salary: from 12.65 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)
