Position Overview:
As a Room Leader, you will:
Lead the day-to-day running of the Preschool Room, ensuring routines are followed and every child thrives
Work directly with children and staff in ratio, modelling outstanding practice and supporting development
Support and coach your room team, ensuring high-quality interactions, learning, and care at all times
Be responsible for room planning, deployment, observations, assessments, and parent engagement
Step in as Designated Person in Charge in the absence of the 1st Deputy or Nursery Manager
Monitor child progress and development closely, providing early intervention support where needed
Drive parental involvement through meetings, learning journeys, and home learning opportunities
Contribute to wider nursery operations, team culture, and marketing initiatives
Role Requirements:
Minimum Level 3 in Childcare as recognised by OFSTED
Strong, hands-on experience working in a leadership capacity within an Early Years setting
Confidence in managing a key group of children and leading staff within a room-based environment
In-depth understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
A nurturing, proactive leadership style that encourages growth and positivity
Salary & Progression
32,992 per year, reviewed annually
