We are seeking a Level 3 qualified with minimum of 5 years experience and at least 2 years room leadership experience to lead our Toddlers group. Candidates with DSL and SENCO qualification and experience will be given a priority and may attract higher wage. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess strong leadership skills. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for planning, overseeing daily operations in line with EYFS standard, managing workflow for staffs in your team, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children in our care. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage various tasks will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities
Supervise and support staffs, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
Foster a positive and engaging environment for children, promoting their social, emotional, and educational development in line with the EYFS.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Manage daily operations, including scheduling staff, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Promote Safeguarding and follow the Nursery's procedure's in reporting it.
Conduct assessment and development reviews for the Toddlers group.
Drive initiatives and innovation that enhance the quality of care provided to children, including implementing educational activities based on early childhood education principles.
Conduct regular assessments of staff performance and provide constructive feedback to encourage professional growth.
Skills
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential for effective communication with staffs, parents, and children.
Minimum of Level 3 Childcare qualification. Not Health and Social Care.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable with at least 2 years of leadership role.
Early Years qualified teacher with experience is also welcome as the successful role holder may be offered a Deputy Manager role base on performance. Salary may be negotiated.
A background in early childhood education will be an advantage in understanding developmental needs.
Strong leadership abilities to manage a team effectively while fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues positively.
Ability to drive initiatives that promote children's learning and development while ensuring their safety at all times.
