Room Leader / Third in Charge (Level 3 or above) - Term Time Only

Location: LU6 area

Hours: 40 hours per week

Setting: Independent Day Nursery

We are delighted to be supporting a beautiful, small independent day nursery in the LU6 area in their search for an experienced Level 3 Room Leader / Third in Charge to join their close-knit and supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate early years professional who enjoys working in a nurturing environment where staff are genuinely valued and leadership is hands-on and childcare-experienced.

The Role

Room Leader / Third in Charge position.

Term-time only role, working 40 hours per week.

Leading practice within the room and supporting staff development.

Supporting day-to-day operations and stepping up in the absence of senior leadership.

Creating a safe, engaging and stimulating environment in line with the EYFS.

The Nursery

Small, independent setting with a warm, family-feel atmosphere.

Supportive owner with strong childcare and leadership experience.

Strong focus on quality care, child-centred practice and staff wellbeing.

Requirements

Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).

Previous Room Leader or senior practitioner experience.

Strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and child development.

Confident, caring and reliable team player.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: 12.80-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

Dunstable LU6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

L3 Childcare Qualification or higher (required)
