We are seeking a

dedicated and experienced Senior Nursery Practitioner

to join our friendly team and play a key role in leading high-quality practice across the setting.

The Role



As a

Senior Nursery Practitioner

, you will support the Management Team in delivering outstanding care and education for children aged 0-5. You will be a positive role model to staff, children, and parents -- helping to create a warm, stimulating environment that promotes curiosity, learning, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:



Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Support the staff in ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment. Act as a Key Person, building strong, supportive relationships with children and families. Observe, assess, and record children's development, contributing to planning and progress reports. Mentor and guide junior staff, supporting their professional growth and ensuring high standards of practice. Maintain a thorough understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and equality policies. Assist in the daily running of the nursery, including maintaining accurate records and supporting with inspections and audits.

About You



We're looking for someone who is passionate about early years education and can bring creativity, professionalism, and leadership to our team.

Essential Requirements:



Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education / Childcare (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent). Proven experience in an early years setting, ideally in a senior or room-based leadership role. Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development. Excellent communication, organisational, and teamworking skills. A positive, nurturing attitude and a genuine love for working with young children. A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Desirable:



Paediatric First Aid certificate. Experience supporting or mentoring junior staff. Up-to-date training in SEND, Safeguarding, or Behaviour Management.
