Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Childcare Provider to join our team as a Room Supervisor.

As a Room Supervisor you will be responsible for the day to day running of the room to ensure safe, stimulating play and learning to meet the social, linguistic, creative, physical, imaginative and emotional needs of each child. This will include:

Planning, preparing and delivering age appropriate play based activities, making observations of play to ensure progressive learning for the children.

Lead the staff team in the assessment, monitoring and recording of individual children's development using the observation system.

Responsible for the day-to-day management and development of the staff team including the allocation and monitoring of work, appraisal and training.

Build and maintain a high standard amongst the staff team, and work towards fulfilling the settings goals.

Ensure there is a good, happy and positive atmosphere which is conducive to learning within the setting.

Establish good relationships with the children, acting as a role model and leading by example.

Promote independence and apply strategies to recognise and reward achievements and provide information and advice to people children to make choices about their own behaviour.

Ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of children in your care.

Organise and manage resources taking into account the children's interests language and cultural backgrounds.

Establish constructive relationships with families, exchanging information and facilitating support for their child's development and learning.

One of the requirements may be to carry out drop offs and pick ups to local schools.

Qualifications:

Experience working with children in a childcare or similar setting.

Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Knowledge of childcare best practices and early childhood education.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Pay: 12.21-13.40 per year
