The Role
As Router ROROs / Transport Co-ordinator, you'll manage the daily planning and routing of our RORO vehicle operations. Your work ensures timely, efficient, and compliant collections, deliveries, and exchanges across our operational areas. This role is vital in maximising vehicle utilisation and maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan daily RORO routes using routing software, aligned with operational needs
Communicate schedules and real-time updates to drivers
Prioritise collections and deliveries in line with SLAs and customer requirements
Coordinate with customer service and operational teams for seamless service
Monitor fleet movements and adjust plans to maintain service levels
Ensure compliance with transport and safety regulations
Maintain accurate routing records for performance reporting
Support route optimisation and downtime analysis
Provide input on driver wages based on hours and efficiency
Assist with P&L reviews and asset utilisation reporting
Who you are
You're organised, calm under pressure, and confident in managing logistics. You understand transport operations and bring practical experience to a fast-paced environment. You're a clear communicator and problem-solver, focused on delivering excellent service and efficient operations.
Essential:
Familiarity with vehicle routing systems or software
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Clear and confident communication skills
Problem-solving and decision-making ability
Basic IT skills (e.g. Excel, email, routing software)
Desirable:
Experience in the waste management sector
Experience in logistics, transport planning, or skip hire
Basic understanding of financial principles (costs, margins, P&L)
Knowledge of local geography and road networks
