The purpose of the job role is to organise, implement and prepare rota schedules for our Domiciliary Care service. To work closely with and effectively communicate with the Nurtrio Operational Team and to take into consideration service requirements and also resource needs and availability.
MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
To work as part of a team which provides regulated activity services within service users own homes to ensure that effective rota cover is maintained.
Respond to sickness and emergency cover requirements ensuring that effective communication channels are maintained with staff, service users and families.
Ensure the rota system is updated and remains accurate at all times.
Monitor staffing levels to ensure that they are safe and appropriate and escalate to the Operational Team if required, in line with the traffic light system.
To participate in the recruitment process and support with the placement of new employees.
Offer support and guidance to support workers and respond to enquiries about the rota.
Attend and participate in staff meetings relevant to area of service.
Manage Annual Leave requests in line with company policy.
Record when staff are unable to log in or log out of the system. Ensuring all records are kept and up to date and accurate in line with Nurtrio's record keeping policy. Work flexibly/on a rota system, according to service needs.
Undertake other duties/tasks consummate with the level of responsibility of the post.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and understanding of Health and Social Care
GCSE or level 2 Functional Skills in Maths, English, and IT
A good understanding of IT systems
LIVED OR WORK EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL:
A strong desire and ability to support the provision of excellent care.
An interest in and commitment to on-going personal/professional development
Good IT knowledge
Experience in rota management or similar role
Respects and understands the need for confidentiality.
