Rota Co Ordinator – Social Care

Manchester, United Kingdom

Job Description

Rota Co-ordinator - Social Care
9.30am-2.30pm Monday-Friday (25 hours per week - 12.60 per hour)
In the role of Rota Co-ordinator, you will be central to our operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our services. You will be responsible for managing scheduling staff rotas using the Access PeoplePlanner system, taking into account the diverse needs of our service users and the competencies of our staff.
You will be working alongside our branch manager and will focus on ensuring there is a systematic and efficient process to ensure maximum safety and support for our service users. Additionally, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the rota, for example dealing with unexpected absences; client hospital admissions; and new service user admissions.
Your keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills will be put to use in reviewing the rota in instances of planned support being missed or delayed. You will seek to understand the root cause of these issues and develop effective solutions to mitigate future occurrences.
You should, ideally, have experience of rota management planning, however, more importantly you will have worked in a role which required you to be highly organised, customer-focused, show attention to detail, undertake planning and have strong communication and time management skills.
Your ability to stay calm under pressure, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise effectively will be paramount to your success in this role. Previous experience with rota coordination and a general understanding of social care staffing issues, including the European Working Time Directive, would be beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
Our management approach is collaborative and respectful and we will support you to be the best you can be. We know that this is the only way that our clients and their families will get the best care possible and every member of the team has a part to play in this. It really is a very exciting place to work!
