Applications are invited for a 55-week rotating internship at the Small Animal Referral Hospital at Langford Vets. We are a large and friendly multi-disciplinary referral hospital in the Southwest of England and we are the teaching hospital for the University of Bristol's vet school. Langford Vets is committed to provide outstanding care and is dedicated to learning.

About the role

The internship is integral part of Langford Vets' commitment to outstanding care and dedication to learning. You will rotate through our core disciplines of Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, Orthopaedics, Emergency and Critical Care, Anaesthesia, Imaging and Neurology. In addition, you will support our first opinion out-of-hours service, and weekly teaching sessions will be provided. You will be an integral member of the team in the hospital, including supporting the nursing staff and assisting with undergraduate teaching of both vet and nurse students during their rotations on clinics.

Our programme is suitable for those looking to progress their careers by undertaking a residency or those who want to improve their skills as general practitioners.

Since its great success last year, our internship programme will offer again an introduction period in the first three weeks of the internship including lectures organised by our Langford Academy to ensure you are fully prepared for the year ahead! This course will include a fantastic mix of hands-on practical training, case-based teaching and engaging lectures all aimed at elevating your skills and setting you up for success.

Applicants must be eligible to register with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to practice in the UK and must have at least one year's experience working in first opinion practice.
