We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician with dispensing experience that is self-motivated and organised to join our pharmacy team. After initial training in all dispensary processes including dispensing, accuracy checking, OTC sales and controlled drug dispensing you will be trained to cover our Pharmacy Technician ward service where you will support the admission and discharge of patients to and from the hospital, spending time with patients discussing their medication and liaising with nursing and medical staff.

As one of the team of Rotational Pharmacy Technicians you will have the opportunity to gain experience including the following and much more:



Dispensing controlled drugs using electronic registers from automated storage cabinets



Gaining experience in IT Systems including Ascribe, Omnicell cabinets & Prescription Tracking



Maintaining good stock control of medicines



Medicines optimisation on wards



Supporting and training staff



You must be a team player with the ability to work flexibly and react positively to change. Essential skills include an eye for detail, high level of accuracy and knowing the limitations of the role. You must be able to follow written procedures, work under supervision and complete tasks accurately to set deadlines.
