Job Introduction

We have a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting people and putting things right to join our progressive Rough Sleeper Team.


As a Rough Sleeper Navigator, you'll be responsible for working with service users that are experiencing rough sleeping, to resolve their homelessness.


You'll assess their needs and ensure any interventions and referrals are acted on promptly.


This is a full-time role where a DBS check is required.

This is a site-based role.

Interviews for this role will be held on 22 October.

Role Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure there is a Navigator presence at Emergency night provision. Assess the needs of the service users to accurately determine the level of need to support with successful move on. Ensure that any interventions, including referrals and sign posting are completed in a timely manner. Balance the varying demands of a caseload, maintain accurate individual case records and ensure that all required actions are completed to agreed timescales. Partnership work with internal and external agencies to ensure intelligence is gained and shared appropriately.

Ideal Candidate
Enjoys talking to people and trying to put things right. Someone who is flexible - you might be asked to work in another place. Professionally curious - you want to explore and understand what is happening rather than making assumptions or taking a single source of information and accepting it at face value.

For this role, the candidate is required to have a full UK driving licence, along with access to a vehicle. Evidence of the driving licence and vehicle insurance with business insurance will be required from the candidate should they be offered this position. Without this documentation the candidate will not be appointable.


Should you be offered the role, as part of the pre-employment checks an Enhanced DBS will be actioned for you (unless you are on the DBS Update Service).

Our roles are either designated 'site based' or 'home based'. 'Site based' roles can include up to two days a week working from home whilst 'home based' roles are based at home four days a week. Of course, managers designate which category roles are in based on the needs of the service and the circumstances.
