Lochwynd Limited is seeking a reliable and motivated
Routine Maintenance Operative
to join our Traffic Department. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for completing maintenance and installation works to client specifications while adhering to company policies, procedures, and health & safety standards.
This role involves working on traffic and highways electrical systems, often as a lone worker, and requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out works in line with drawings, specifications, and job packs
Complete daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment
Safely use hand and power tools, steps, ladders, harnesses, and lanyards
Set up pedestrian and traffic management systems
Install and maintain street lighting, traffic signals, and signal priority systems
Safely access and work on street furniture and cabinets
Accurately complete site documentation and job packs
Handle materials safely and maintain site cleanliness
Install anti-fly posting cabinets to specification
Report equipment defects, incidents, and injuries promptly
Follow Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Health & Safety procedures
Undertake any other duties as required
