Small Beer Ltd, a leading independent drinks wholesaler, is looking for an experienced

Routing & Transport Manager

to join our operations team. With over 40 years of delivering quality products to pubs, bars, and venues across the region, we pride ourselves on service, reliability, and efficiency.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for planning and optimising delivery routes using

Merlin Business Software's routing system

, ensuring our fleet operates effectively, cost-efficiently, and in full compliance with legal and safety standards. Working closely with colleagues across operations, you'll help drive improvements that enhance both customer satisfaction and overall business performance.

Key responsibilities include:

Designing, maintaining, and optimising delivery routes via

Merlin Business Software

. Monitoring vehicle utilisation and compliance requirements. Identifying opportunities for efficiency, cost control, and sustainability improvements.
A formal qualification in Transport Management (such as CPC in Road Haulage Operations) is

preferred but not essential

. What matters most is proven logistics experience, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
